Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented Information Systems Testing Technician / Software Test Coordinator to support the testing, validation, and quality assurance of software applications and IT systems. The successful candidate will coordinate testing activities, execute test cases, track defects, and work closely with developers and stakeholders to ensure high-quality system delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and execute software and system testing activities

  • Develop, maintain, and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts

  • Perform functional, regression, integration, and user acceptance testing (UAT)

  • Identify, document, track, and verify software defects

  • Collaborate with developers, project managers, and clients to resolve issues

  • Ensure systems meet business and technical requirements before deployment

  • Maintain test documentation and reporting status updates

  • Support testing of web applications, databases, APIs, and internal systems

  • Assist with system upgrades, patches, and release validations

Required Qualifications

  • Diploma or degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field

  • Strong understanding of SDLC and testing methodologies

  • Familiarity with web technologies, databases, and hosting environments (cPanel, servers, etc.)

  • Ability to document issues clearly and communicate effectively

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks

Preferred Skills (Asset)

  • Experience with WordPress, CMS platforms, or web applications

  • Experience coordinating testing efforts across teams

  • ISTQB or similar QA certification (an asset, not required)
